Wednesday's Suns-Nuggets game cancelled

Denver Nuggets

Even though both teams and officials are already in Denver (and ready to play), the league has decided to postpone tonight's Suns game.  Colorado's governor declared a state of emergency, as 1 ft of snow is expected to fall.  Rather than risk drivers out on the roads, the NBA agreed to postpone the game until a later date.

This actually benefits both teams:

  • The Suns get some more rest, which will help them during the next few weeks.
  • The Nuggets will get Allen Iverson on the court for their next game.  Iverson was expected to miss Wednesday's game and debut for Denver on Friday.  Now, he'll debut on Friday, but also be able to help the Nuggets in the makeup game w/ the Suns (yet to be scheduled).
