Phoenix Suns sign former ASU guard Eddie House

“The Phoenix Suns finally settled on another piece for their backcourt when they signed former Arizona State star Eddie House to a two-year contract.

What this really means: An unrestricted free agent who played for the Sacramento Kings last season, House, 27, has always been a bit player having started just 27 games in his career. That's part of why he's a good fit with the Suns. He's used to limited minutes, is a terrific streak shooter — career .361 from 3-point range, .400 from the field overall and .813 from the free throw line. But more importantly, they got a guy like House who can give Steve Nash a break every once in a while and even play with him.”  - Story courtesy of Mike Kahn, FoxSports - http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/4865280

This move should really help the Suns backcourt and allow them to continue running their style of offense throughout the season.  Eddie House is an excellent 3-point shooter who should help keep the lanes open for Amare Stoudemire & Co.  I believe House can also play PG, so he should be able to spell Steve Nash occasionally, which is a big bonus.  House will also be returning to his old stomping grounds, after playing at Arizona State, so that should help build his confidence right off the bat.

Go Suns, this should help them.  Eddie is a good player who has not had a chance to show what he can do...
